Cedars will begin offering childcare services for families with young children during our weekly Sunday worship services, starting January 5, 2025.
Two adult childcare providers, both of whom have undergone thorough background checks and at least one possessing CPR training, will be present each week in a kindergarten classroom located adjacent to our sanctuary space.
Our childcare services will be offered primarily for children from crawlers through 3rd grade; however, we can accommodate slightly older children on a case-by-case basis.
Our childcare room is well-equipped with an array of toys, games, and craft supplies, and our providers will engage the children in simple, interactive activities.
While our childcare services do not include specific religious education, we emphasize and promote values of kindness, caring, and respect among the children during play activities.
For first-time visitors, one of our greeters will direct your family to the kindergarten classroom, where you will meet the childcare providers for that day. You are welcome to drop off your children approximately 10-15 minutes prior to the 10:00 a.m. service commencement. Following the service, you may either bring them into the sanctuary for our coffee time or allow them to continue playing in the childcare room for up to 20 minutes after the service concludes.
