Our re-kindled reading enthusiasm will focus first on the relatively recent and well-regarded Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari. This fascinating and provocative study of how we’ve developed over the last 70,000 years or so to become our present selves spent 80 weeks or so on the New York Times’ best-seller list and is conveniently divided into four sections that will allow spreading our reading and discussion into four sessions (each covering approximately 100 pages of thought-provoking text).
