Cedars has been supporting Super Suppers on Bainbridge for many years. Once per month, we partner with Congregation Kol Shalom to serve a healthy, hearty meal to people at the Eagle Harbor Congregational Church. It has become such a success that the number of people volunteering exceeds the need.
The Social Justice Committee has recently been working toward supporting another community meal. The Suquamish Community Kitchen feeds between 35 and 75 meals every Wednesday to the local community as a way to share a good meal and connect with others in the community. A few of us have worked alongside the Community Kitchen volunteers and are now ready to give it a go with our help too. We will begin with our first North Kitsap meal at the Suquamish United Church of Christ on Wednesday, February 21st.
We could use your help! If you are interested in helping to prepare and serve the meal, please contact me at philip.jeff@gmail.com.
