Water Communion is an annual ritual of welcoming one another back into community after our summer travels. This uniquely UU ritual reminds us that we all come from water, we are made of mostly water, and just like the way water scatters into raindrops and streams, we often scatter during the summer months. The mingling of the waters from places we have been over the summer months symbolizes the mingling of our lives here in this community.
You are invited to bring a small container of water from a place that is meaningful to you. As your water mingles with the water of others, we will be reminded of the many ways our lives are intertwined, here at home, and with the lives of people throughout the world.
